What is Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic Coating is the latest and most revolutionary way to protect the paint on your vehicle on the market today. It provides excellent protection from the harsh environment such as bird droppings, tree sap and road grime. Ceramic Pro has excellent resistance to cleaning chemicals, corrosion, scratching, high temperatures and UV.

Ceramic Pro utilizes nanotechnology to bind to the surface creating an extremely durable and protective layer; separating your vehicles paint and interior surfaces from the harsh elements of the environment. Nanotechnology is engineering, science, and technology conducted at the molecular and atomic level. This is beneficial because characteristics such as hardness, lightness, smoothness, and heat resistance can be manipulated to be greatly enhanced.

Ceramic Pro 9H is a revolutionary and transparent glass coating. It's the thickest, hardest paint protection coating available. There are also other exterior and interior Ceramic Pro products.

How long does the Ceramic Pro last?

Ceramic Pro forms a long lasting chemical bond with the paintwork of your car. Many factors can influence the longevity, the first being the type of coating you choose to have us apply. There are single application coatings as well as multi-level applications which gives better hardness and durability. This is what separates Ceramic Pro from the other coatings on the market. It is designed to be multi-layerable, giving you a thicker, more durable layer. Other coatings on the market are single layer and are not engineered to stack on top of the other.

Another variable to longevity is how well you maintain your vehicle after the coating is applied. Actual durability will vary depending on the types of conditions encountered and how well the vehicle is maintained by its owner.

Ceramic Pro’s excellent chemical resistance means it will not be easily washed away by cleaning chemicals like some other products on the market.

Good maintenance such as regular washing is recommended for the best performance and durability of Ceramic Pro.

Neglect, such as failure to wash the vehicle regularly, abrasive washing and cleaning with unsuitable implements or brushes at automatic car washes and the use of abrasive polishes will reduce the performance and durability of the treatment.

Do Ceramic Pro coatings come with a warranty?

There are different levels of Ceramic Pro exterior packages. If your vehicle is treated with a Gold, Silver, or Bronze exterior coating package, it will be covered with a manufacturer-backed lifetime, five-year, or two-year warranty respectively. The major differences in the warranty packages is the durability of the coatings, but they all offer extreme gloss, self cleaning and anti-graffiti properties.

Why Ceramic Coat?

It’s a good investment to permanently protect the exterior from deteriorating prematurely and maintain a higher resale value. Less maintenance due to the slickness of the coating won’t allow dirt, brake dust and road tar to stick to your paint, wheels or glass nearly as much making cleaning your vehicle a much more enjoyable and effortless process. Not to mention you will see ultimate gloss and color depth not comparable to anything else. Properly maintained vehicles will shine like new for many years to come.

How is the coating applied?

Coatings are carefully applied by certified applicator’s as a liquid one panel at a time covering the exterior painted surfaces. The paintwork is firstly decontaminated and prepared to ensure the coating achieves a good bond to the paintwork.

How long do they last?

This will depend on the type of coating and the environment in which the car is driven and stored. There will also be a dependency on how well the coating is maintained. Four instance Ceramic Pro forms a highly durable bond with the paintwork which can last a number of years on a well maintained car.

Ceramic Pro is resistant to chemicals so it will not be washed away by strong car wash shampoos and cleaning chemicals. However aggressive car washing with brushes or automatic car washes will reduce the lifespan of the product. We recommend only washing your car with microfibre cloths.

As with any paintwork treatment good regular maintenance is required for the best results and longevity of the product.

Ceramic Coatings can be removed by abrasion such as machine polishing, cutting compounds or cut and polish. Neglect such as failure to wash the vehicle regularly (weekly or fortnightly) can also reduce the performance and durability of the product.

What do they do?

These very resilient coatings will give superior protection against light surface scratching caused by poor washing. Harmful UV rays, graffiti, dirt build up. premature aging and oxidation, weathering, bird droppings, brake dust, and even help prevent acid rain stain. Your treated car will not only be easier to clean but it will also stay clean longer do you to its super hydrophobic properties. Ceramic coating are second to none when it comes to giving your paint that deep rich reflective gloss and shine.

How do I keep the car clean in the meantime?

A careful and regular washing regime using a PH neutral shampoo and/or hydrophobic spray will keep your car looking pristine. We can supply these products directly or point you in the direction of online retailers. The cost to you is the same either way. Also avoid letting your vehicle air dry always use quality microfibre to dry.

Are Ceramic Coatings a miracle “set it and forget” product?

Absolutely not, despite being very durable they still need maintaining. Beware of the hype that comes with many car treatment systems (ceramic and dealership applied treatments) that promise ‘no polishing’ and ‘lifetime protection with no maintenance as part of the deal.

We have worked on countless vehicles with various coating systems applied and have yet to find any that meet the often extravagant claims made by the industry. It is simply not possible to coat a car, then treat it to the occasional wash, and for it to remain glossy and contaminant free several years down the road.

How do Ceramic Coatings compare against dealership applied sealants?

They are much more durable in almost every aspect of protection and visually appear to have a much higher gloss characteristic.

How do they work?

Waxes and many paint sealants sit on the applied surface. Ceramic coatings work by bonding a thin layer of product directly to your car’s paintwork creating a new substrate. Once bonded the product is much harder to remove than traditional products and is, therefore, more durable.

I‘ve had my car treated, is there anything that I need to avoid?

Avoid roller brush car washes and wiping your car clean when it’s dry. Always have a lubricant and clean microfibre or wash mitt.

Anything else that I need to know?

Ceramic coatings need to cure for around 24 hours before being exposed to rain. Your car will need to be garaged overnight unless the weather forecast is for no rain.

What is a car wrap?

A car wrap is a decal or large vinyl graphic applied on the surface of a vehicle. It is used to change the way a vehicle looks on a temporary basis, as the wrap may be removed if necessary without altering the car’s original paintwork.

How much does it cost to get my vehicle wrapped?

The cost of wrapping a vehicle would depend on a number of factors, such as the size of the wrap and the type of vinyl used. Our friendly car wrap experts can give you an idea of the cost of your custom work; just give us a call at 314.550.1289 for a quote.

Will the wrap damage my vehicle’s paintwork?

Not at all. The car wrap will even protect your paint. However, if the paintwork is not in good condition to begin with—for instance, if paint is chipping off—then the wrap may pull off the chipping paint when it is removed.

How long does the installation process take?

Vehicle wrap application is usually done in 5-6 days depending on the vehicle type, size, and the complexity of the wrap. Of course, it would take a while longer if we’ll be wrapping a whole vehicle! We’ll let you know when to expect the job done before we begin the installation. One thing’s for sure: it takes less time than a paint job!

Should I wash my car before turning it over to you?

Yes please. It is important that all vehicles for wrapping are free of oil, wax, dust, mud, and other agents that may prevent the vinyl wrap from adhering properly to the vehicle surface, scratch the paint, or cause bubbling after the wrap is installed.

Help! I think I damaged my wrap!

Worry not! You can have the damaged panels replaced. There is no need to redo the whole wrap if the damage is limited to certain parts of the vehicle only.

Is a vehicle wrap cheaper than a paint job?

The cost of designing and installing a vehicle wrap is less than a paint job covering the same area. As for the effect, vehicle wraps wear as well as paint with proper maintenance.

How long does vinyl wrapping last?

You should expect your car wrap to last roughly five to seven years, depending on the finish and proper maintenance.
